Born in Cartagena, Colombia, Urzola has 20+ years of domestic and international experience in the field of architecture and construction. Urzola lead the firm’s client account development and services effort, oversees budgets, contracts, proposals, marketing, human resources and other business administration initiatives as a partner at AU Group a full architectural service company located in Fort Myers, Florida.
AU Group provides Architectural services to the Commercial, Institutional, Residential and Development sectors. Project types include Office, Retail, Health Care, Interiors, Residential Development and Hospitality. In addition to New Construction, we are experienced in Additions and Alterations as well as Redevelopment.
Urzola holds a Master of Construction Management from Escuela Administracion de Negocios and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, both located in Cartagena, Colombia.
He is an active (AIA) American Institute of Architects member and current board member and 2009 past president of the AIA Florida Southwest chapter; current member of the Lee County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board Committee, Lee County Equal Opportunity Review Board and Literacy Volunteers of Lee County among other civic organizations.
Urzola is very passionate about helping the Hispanic community and promoting its cultural values as well Hispanic leaders.
